I cannot believe it is the first week in November! The
boys and girls have already worked so hard and have really begun to shine!
Here are a few things we learned this week:
In math we:
-Introduced missing addends and learned strategies for
solving them ( 2 + ___ = 6)
In reading we:
-Added new tools to help decode words into our reading
toolboxes
In writing we:
-Wrote letters to the soldiers overseas and sent them with
the donated Halloween candy. We even got
a picture back from them and I was told it made his day!
-We wrote speeches to become the president of the
classroom!
-We worked on editing our writing and adding speech
bubbles
In Fundations we:
-Had a check-in on Friday.
-We also introduced these sight words: you, your, one,
said, they
-Learned the glued sound -all and bonus letters f, l, s, and sometimes z
Reminder: There
is NO school on Wednesday.
