·        Wrote words on whiteboards after saying their sounds slowly

·        Wrote about where we would go after reading Oh The Places You’ll Go

·        Did a snowman science experiment

·        Read lots of books and sentences

·        Learned about Independent Reading! We did 5 whole minutes of quiet independent reading! The students were FANTASTIC!  They are great readers!

Ask your child what else they learned.  Our sight words next week will be ‘one,’ ‘two,’ ‘three,’ ‘four,’ ‘five,’ and ‘be’.

·        Created 100th day of school glasses

·        Wrote about what they could not do on the first day of school but can do now

·        Fished for numbers and then colored the number in on a hundreds chart

·        Practiced word families

·        Read Rooster’s Off to See the World

·        Graphed candy hearts

·        Colored by sight words

·        Made love bugs

·        Had a OT lesson on how to draw a person

·        Thought about why people write and created a list

·        Decorated Valentine’s bag

·        Gave Valentine’s to our classmates
