Here are a few things we learned this week:
In math we:
-Learned about patterns in a hundreds chart
-worked on filling in missing numbers
-Reviewed place value which we learned last week
In reading we:
-Began visualization.
We play a movie or mental images in our head while we’re reading so we
can better understand the story
In writing we:
-Wrote a book report
-Continued to write small moment stories
In Fundations we:
-Learned the –ang, -ing, -ong, and –ung glued sounds
-We also introduced these sight words: try, my, by, why,
put, two
We also learned about skeletons of animals, about spiders
and the life cycle of a pumpkin in our Scholastic News.
Thank you for helping your children with the book report
assignment. We finished our book reports
today and they are hanging on our bulletin board.
Don’t forget conferences are Tuesday night and Friday
afternoon next week.
