March 2nd-March 6th

March 6, 2015

This week in Fundations we focused on writing words by stretching the sounds we hear and saying the words slow like a turtle.

Our sight words for the week were: one, two, three, four, five, be

We finally had a full week of school!  This week at school we:

·        Read many Dr. Seuss books

·        Worked on the number19

·        Practiced addition and subtraction word problems

·        Read I Wish I Had Duck Feet and then wrote about something we wish we had

·        Representative Shawn Dooley, Kelly’s mom and Maddock’s grandmother came in to read to us!

·        Practiced our silent reading and reading to the class from our book bins

·        Worked on rhyming like Dr. Seuss does

·        Decomposed the number 10 with apples after reading Ten Apples On Top by Dr. Seuss

Ask your child what else they learned.  Our sight words next week will be ‘one,’ ‘two,’ ‘three,’ ‘four,’ ‘five,’ and ‘be’.

Enjoy your weekend!
