This week in Fundations we learned the letters: j, p

Our sight words for the week were: my, like, we

At school this week we:

·        Learned the three and four number formation songs

o   3. Around the tree and around the tree, that’s the way we make a three

o   4. Down and across and down once more, that’s the way you make a four

·        Created word family turkeys using the –at ending.

o   Some words we came up with were: fat, sat, cat, mat, bat

·        Learned about Veteran’s Day

·        Colored a Veteran’s Day book and sight word worksheet

·        Began Moby Max (a math program) on the computers

·        Played a shape board game

·        Worked on the school listening look during Open Circle

·        Identified groups that were greater and less than

Ask your child what else they learned.  Next week will be learn the letters h, l, and k.  Our sight words will be ‘we,’ ‘my’ and ‘like’.

I had a professional day today so I hope the boys and girls enjoyed their day!
