Our sight words for the week were: what, was, said
This week at school we:
·
Read
From Caterpillars to Butterflies and then created origami butterflies
·
Observed
our caterpillars in their chrysalides
·
Reviewed
and practiced how to use a number line when adding and subtracting
·
Practiced
our silent reading and reading to the class from our book bins
·
Made
3D shapes with play dough
·
Write
about their vacations and what animals they would want as a pet
·
Worked
on math facts within 5
·
Created
butterflies with paper plates and pipe cleaners
·
Got
outside for recess
·
Earned
all of the class marbles so they earn a treat to be decided on Monday
Ask your
child what else they learned. Our sight words next week will be ‘was,’ ‘said,’
and ‘what.’
The boys and
girls have done fantastic with their reading logs! The class has read 1665 minutes this month! Today they were given certificates and a Dr.
Seuss pencil to celebrate their great reading!
Have a great weekend!
