This week in Fundations we focused
on writing words by stretching the sounds we hear and saying the words slow
like a turtle.

had a full week of school! This week at
school we:

Read many Dr. Seuss books

Worked on the number19

Practiced addition and subtraction
word problems
·
Read I Wish I Had Duck Feet
and then wrote about something we wish we had
·
Representative Shawn Dooley, Kelly’s
mom and Maddock’s grandmother came in to read to us!
·
Practiced our silent reading and
reading to the class from our book bins
·
Worked on rhyming like Dr. Seuss
does
·
Decomposed the number 10 with apples
after reading Ten Apples On Top by Dr. Seuss
Ask your child what else they
learned. Our sight words next week will be ‘one,’ ‘two,’ ‘three,’ ‘four,’
‘five,’ and ‘be’.
