Food Drive

Beginning on Monday, November 3rd, the Wrentham Public Schools will be collecting canned goods and non-perishables, for the Wrentham food pantry.  Collections will take place throughout the week ending on Friday, November 7th.  In addition, students are encouraged to participate in Express Yourself Day on Friday.  Students are encouraged to wear something that expresses what they are or what they like (i.e. sports outfit, favorite animal).  Please consider participating in this special event.

This week in Fundations we learned the letters: d, s

Our sight words for the week were: have, is

At school this week we:

·        Reviewed the scientific method which we introduced last week

·        Created pumpkins

·        Carved a pumpkin and counted up to 300 seeds!

·        Learned the life cycle of a pumpkin

·        Planted a pumpkin seed and three flowers

·        Read Room on the Broom and then wrote about who we would want on our broom if we had room

·        Made a spider and a web

·        Introduced the number zero with a song!

o   “Circle around to make a zero and you will be a great big hero!”

·        Enjoyed going to the book fair.

·        Had parent volunteers in to help us with Halloween crafts!

Thank you to all of the parents who purchased books at the book fair for our class!

Tonight the Wrentham Fire Station is hosting its annual Halloween parade at 6pm on Randall Road!

Next week the students will start Readbox.  They will be able to rent books from the classroom to take home.

Ask your child what else they learned.  Next week will be learn the letters e and r.  Our sight words will be ‘have’ and ‘is’.
